About us

Our History

In the ancestral homeland of the Quimbaya people—now known as the region of Quindío, Risaralda, Caldas, and Antioquia in Colombia—Julio Uribe embarked on a mission to preserve and celebrate the rich cultural and culinary traditions of his heritage136. Fueled by passion and respect for generations past, he crafted a unique version of salsa ají that paid homage to ancestral flavors while inspiring innovation for the future.

Emy’s Salsa Ají became a testament to this legacy, distinct in its flavor, aroma, and purpose. More than just a condiment, it was created as a cultural experience, thoughtfully designed to elevate everything from beef and poultry to fish, vegetables, and everyday snacks. With each batch, Julio ensured the spirit of tradition and creativity lived on.

Today

Emy’s Salsa Aji stands today as a vibrant example of authentic flavor and quality craftsmanship. Andrew Uribe started the business in 2005, inspired by a passion for sharing his family’s culinary traditions and the unique taste of salsa ají with the world.

Manufactured in an FDA-compliant food processing facility in Nuevo León, Mexico, Emy’s Salsa Aji continues to source the finest all-natural ingredients from northern Mexico, ensuring every jar delivers bold, fresh flavors.

Currently, Emy’s Salsa Aji is available in HEB Mexico supermarkets, where it is recognized for its distinctive taste and premium quality. The brand’s presence in a market where salsa is a staple further validates its unique appeal and growing reputation.

Emy’s Salsa Aji is also available for export, with a port of entry in Laredo, Texas, allowing us to share our authentic taste with new markets and salsa lovers worldwide.

At the heart of our present success is a commitment to tradition, quality, and the joy of sharing good food. We invite you to experience the difference that Emy’s Salsa Aji makes in every jar.
